Is one less guilty of a crime if they let it happen but did not take an active role in it? Compare inaction to action---Are there levels of guilt?
To me there are levels of guilt. If a person lets something happen right in front of them then they have no pity for the other person. Really what hey are is a bystander. Seeing something but not doing anything about it. They're not involved but they're watching something happen and its still bad. They might not want to be involved in it because they might turn into a victim or they can get framed. That person who didn't take an active role in a crime but watched it will have a guilty conscious most of the time. They knew they could of done something but for some reason they didn't
